Kangen-sai (Itsukushima shrine : August)

This festival is held every year on June 17 of the old calendar. It is said that the play of wind and stringed instruments of the capital introduced by Tairano Kiyomori is an origin. However, this is not play. It is a divine service to comfort the god in Itsukushima.
